Baron was the very first Stafford I got as an adult. He was one of 7 in the litter. I didn't really know quite what to look for in a Staff, but there was just something about this boy that melted my heart.

Baron was inseparable from me and my 2 oldest children. Where we went, he went and it didn't matter where.
He was always a character, and he made me laugh. And he approved my choice of husbands when I met Paul.

He adopted Paul and they were buddies till the end. They did everything together, including breakfast:

Baron was always into doing things, he loved to stay busy.

He was a huge part of our lives. He was there when we brought Annie home. He didn't take to her for the first 3 weeks, but after that, they were inseparable.

When I brought Baron home, I never even considered the show ring. It was nothing I had ever thought about. It wasn't until after we brought Annie home and started showing her, that I entered Baron in a show. He was entered in the Rideau Terrier Specialty as a veteran for his first show. He was 10.5 years old.

He was mostly just our boy, and that was what he liked best.

When we lost Baron, he was 13.5 years old. It was the second hardest day of my life. That was in 2004, and I still think about him everyday.
