Annie came to us just after Christmas in 2001. We picked her out with the express desire to show her. She came to us from Penstaff.

Annie was a natural, and even at 12 weeks she was good at self-stacking.

She made her presence known right away in the house, and poor old Baron didn't know what hit him. He hid in the basement for the first 3 weeks Annie was home, because he knew she couldn't get downstairs. He was so miserable, and I soon wondered if bringing her home was a big mistake.

During her 4th week home, the 2 dogs settled in together, and Baron was able to tolerate her for longer periods. We set her X-pen up in the basement on the vinyl floor, with her cushy bed, toys to play with and water while we were at work. One day, when Annie was 6 months old, we came home, and Baron failed to meet us at the door. I went downstairs to check on Annie, and there was Baron, laying on the floor beside her pen. After that, they were inseparable.

Annie's first show was a sanction match at the OKC show. She was 5 months old, and the judge was our good friend Belle Campeau. Belle had come out to our house the weekend before, and taught me a few things I needed to know about showing, as I had never been in the ring. We must have done ok for the show, because she took breed that day, beating a much older puppy for it.

I was hooked, and promptly entered the next OKC show in May, where the SBTCC also holds it's first Booster Show of the year. She did pretty good, winning her class one out of the 2 days. Our next show was the Kingston Kennel Club, where on the Sunday, she took Best of Breed, at 7 months!

I put a younger friend who was a junior handler with Annie for awhile, and they did quite well together. She was a joy to show for Becki.

We showed her all that season, and between the two of us, Becki and I got Annie's championship. Her last points came at the OKC show once again. She was exactly 1 year and 1 week old.

I brought her out the following season for a few shows, and she even went Best of Opposite to CH Shakira's Quarterback at the show in Kars.

By then, I had brought Morgie into the house and I was starting to concentrate on showing her.

Annie was line-bred to her uncle, CH Samsalins Flash in Hand, and produced 2 pups by C-section. Annie's breeder took the male from the litter and I kept back the female. She wasn't what I was looking for in the end, and she went to a lovely pet home. Annie was fixed for health reasons. But she continues to be a huge happy part of the CyberStaff family. And she's a terrific nursemaid when there are babies in the house.
